At the moment, we are deep underground at the Bologna Centrale, waiting for the train for Roma Termini. Yesterday we arrived Rimini late at night and the kids were incredible and walked with the backpacks all the way to the hotel. It was rather cold yesterday evening, and we failed with our clothes when we went out for dinner.
We ate at a restaurant near the beach, La Botta. There was a no-pizza rule, and all of us, but one, ordered pasta. When in Italy It tasted perfect! Sebastian on the other hand ordered mussels. I'm not sure if he actually enjoyed it, but he ate like a champ, smiling The other kids wanted to taste it as well. Thale thought it was enough licking it. Mathilde bravely put one in her mouth and chewed. But the mussel came out again. Morten went as far as to swalloving. That almost went wrong. I still must say that they did a great job tasting something strange! We ended the evening with gelato in a small shop, on our way "home". Icecream is always ok, no matter how cold it is!
This morning we got up early, and still was a little late for the bus to San Marino. We saw Mons' collegue and family and met them again in San Marino. We had our first use of a sickness bag, Thale didnt do well with the buss' turns. She got sick and then she tuned out for the rest of the ride. San Marino is magical. It was worth the 50 minute busride, and the sick kid. The medival castle was beautiful and the small streets with banners were like visiting Rapunzels home castle in the Disney movie. The kids made some New friends; Brage and Sebastian and they played joyfully. A bit to hard at times....
Pizza on our way to the bus was perfect and in good company. It was time to wave goodbye both to friends and San Marino. We arrived a hot Rimini, and walked along the beach to our hotel, to pick up our backpacks. Now we are ready for new adventures!
